SHOWING PROPERTY TO A STAR
02/22/2004 - 10:57pm
Some years ago Shelley Fabares, wife of Mike Farrell, before she did Coach called my office to see a home in Sherman oaks, I was on the "floor" so I, the perfect realtor, took them out to see the house, they didn't like the home, but they or Shelley were willing to see other homes on other days. Mike never spoke to me, in fact he refused to get in my car! Shelley & I would drive in my car and he would follow in his suv, very popular car in L.A. Finally I decided to just get into his car or actually jump into his car before he could say a word. Now there was one little, little, problem, sometimes I get car sick driving in the back seat, yes I admit I am realtor who gets car sick and while I am admitting the truth, I also have no sense of direction, a very seriuos problem when you are a real estate agent. Oh and also I am a terrible driver,I actually believe that my clients buy homes fast, because they want to get out of my car for good as quickly as possible! Anyway if you have ever been car sick or seasick you know the feeling, your face gets paralized in an awful expression and you can hardly move your mouth which makes talking very difficult!. it was not a successful trip! I was showing them homes in Hidden Hills, a very exclusive area just outside the San Fernando Valley. The first home I showed them was John Davidsons parents home, John came out with his very sharp realtor and they just had a wonderful conversation with Mike & Shelley during which I think I grunted a few times. I can hardly remember the rest of the day.

We were given two months to read it before our meeting. first we had dinner, chinese food, during dinner I asked, no I yelled, becuase evryone was talking at the same time, if the 7 women, all grandmas by now, if they liked the book, three of us had actually read the book, one didn't want to read it until she found out if we liked it. one read the first and last chapter and the rest didn't know what we were talking about! i was then told we didn't discuss the book until dessert time at one of the granny's homes. at the hostesses home we discussed the dessert, diets, who in our real estate community had sold the most houses this past year, who had gotten divorced and who had died!
